Spring Senior Portraits at Burden Gardens | Elizabeth Breland, Dunham Class of 2026 | Baton Rouge Photographer
Spring at Burden Gardens has a way of showing off, and Elizabeth Breland's senior portrait session was timed perfectly to catch it. Soft florals in full bloom, warm golden hour light settling in low across the gardens, and a senior who brought calm, easy confidence to every frame — this is exactly the kind of session that makes Burden Gardens one of my favorite spots for Baton Rouge senior portraits.
A Spring Palette That Does the Work For You
There's a reason I point so many of my Dunham School seniors toward Burden Gardens in the spring specifically. The blooming color across the property — soft pinks, whites, and greens layered together — gives a gallery an effortless, romantic quality without needing much styling help at all. For Elizabeth, that meant portraits that feel bright, fresh, and completely of the season, the kind of images that will always read as "spring of senior year" the moment she looks back on them.
Golden Hour Makes the Difference
We timed this session for golden hour, and it made all the difference. As the light dropped lower and warmer, it wrapped around Elizabeth in the kind of glow that no amount of editing can fully recreate — soft, flattering, and completely natural. Paired with the garden's spring blooms, it gave her gallery a light-filled, polished feeling from start to finish.
Congratulations, Elizabeth
Elizabeth, congratulations on your senior year at The Dunham School. It was such a joy getting to spend a golden spring evening photographing this season of your life.
