Kenley’s Senior Portraits at Burden Gardens in Baton Rouge | The Dunham School, Class of 2026
There is something especially timeless about senior portraits at Burden Gardens in Baton Rouge. Between the soft florals, tree-lined paths, and lush greenhouse setting, it is such a beautiful location for documenting this season in a way that feels natural, light-filled, and full of life.
Kenley’s senior session was such a joy to photograph. She is graduating from The Dunham School in Baton Rouge and heading to Auburn University in the fall, which made this season feel even more exciting and meaningful. Senior year is filled with so many transitions, and I always love getting to preserve this moment right before everything begins to change.
Burden Gardens was the perfect backdrop for Kenley’s portraits. The blooming florals added so much softness and color, while the winding garden paths and greenery gave the session that classic Baton Rouge feel. One of my favorite parts of the session was incorporating the greenhouse, which added a fresh, elegant touch and gave the gallery so much variety while still feeling cohesive.
Kenley was effortless in front of the camera. She brought such a calm, confident presence to her session, and every part of the gallery feels polished while still feeling genuine and true to her. That balance is always the goal with senior portraits — creating images that feel beautiful and elevated, but never forced.
Sessions like this are such a reminder of why I love senior photography. It is about more than just marking a graduation year. It is about documenting personality, celebrating accomplishment, and capturing this in-between season before the next chapter begins.
Kenley, congratulations on your senior year and on all that is ahead for you at Auburn. It was such a joy to capture this season for you.
